Too easy Only one puzzle shows up that is a challenge, and that's the Saturday stumper. I've been doing newspaper crossword puzzles for years by pen, and even USA Today throws in a stumper every once in awhile. On this app, I can blow through every USA Today puzzle in a couple of minutes. It seems like it just scans puzzles you can find online for free anyway. The interface is good, but please bring more challenging puzzles.
Have to navigate with arrow keys Occasionally, you get lucky and pressing a square on the puzzle let's you move to that clue but generally, you need to navigate the puzzle using the arrow keys (as if there is no touch screen interface). Would have been a great puzzle if this were 1998. Samsung S6 Edge)
Not working well on note 4 Loved this on my note 2, but it's isn't working on note 4. Puzzle won't take up the full area, so you can't easily select the boxes, even with the s-pen. I know the 4 just came out and I'm hoping a fix will be soon
This is a dead-on clone of a free product. The layout, interface, and available puzzles are copied from 'Shortyz', a free and open-source crossword app. To copy a free product and monetize it is disappointing to see. If you don't have a problem with it, then this is still a perfectly good crossword app.
Good function, bad variety The app works well on my phone, but in 2.5 months, it's given me the same NYT puzzle 11 times. ELEVEN. I want to work on new puzzles, not ones I've memorized...

Small view The view is terrible, you can barely tap on the square you want. I've seen better views. Then to make it even worse when you rotate the device it gets extra small! I want my money back.
Works great Love the interface. Some very minor issues with tapping to toggle horizontal/vertical, but that could be caused by my device. All puzzle downloads seem to work except for the Washington Post. I have not tested NY times since I am not a subscriber.
But.. I have a free crossword app (from amazon I think) that has the same puzzles, plus a few more. I thought even the little bit of change I gave to this game would get me more puzzles, not less..
Disappointed I feel like this app used to work a lot better. It doesn't grab all of the crosswords it says it will, and my NY Times subscription doesn't work. Given that the NYT hasn't released an Android app, I was hoping this would solve that issue, but it simply doesn't download any of them.
Great app, except... Does well at what it says it's going to do, but several puzzle sources don't download and I can't get the NYT source to work. If those two things were fixed, or someone could tell me what I was doing wrong, this would be five stars.
Gets worse Originally loved this app, but after a phone reset and reinstall it no longer downloads crosswords from multiple sources. I'm only able to get one crossword a day. I also have my NYTimes subscription entered and those aren't pulled in either. Not worth paying for. UPDATE: Changed phones to the HTC One M9 and decided to give this app another shot. Now it repeatedly crashes upon open. Save your money and download Shortyz instead. Same exact layout, more sources, less issues, and free.
Same puzzle every week I love this app, but have 2 complaints: 1st, one puzzle--New York Times Classic--is the EXACT SAME PUZZLE at least once a week. Always pulls the one from 11/25/98. I've memorized most answers. 2nd, app has settings to choose puzzles to download daily. I've chosen all puzzles available in the list, but only get 2-5 a day, and NEVER the Washington Post crossword, which I was hoping to get and know there was at least 1 per Sunday, if not in weekdays. If you're going to let us choose, you should deliver.
Disappointed Galaxy Note 3. Worked for a few days and then stopped downloading puzzles. Was very good while it worked. If this can be fixed I will upgrade to 5 stars.
It's okay I had this app on my galaxy s5 and now have it on the galaxy s6 edge...the crosswords no longer fill the whole screen, they get stuck in the top left corner and are only 3/4 across the screen. .boxes are too small to try and tap and start filling an answer..tried spreading thumb and pointer finger to zoom but it only expands so big and then gets stuck in same place
Does not receive all crosswords advertised daily. I purchased this app because I'm partial to the LA Times crossword, but so far for me it has only updated a couple of crosswords that i already get for free on a different X-word app. 1 star, uninstalling.

Unresponsive! When I tap my screen to highlight a new blank space, when trying to start on a new clue, the highlight won't respond even after repeated taps on the screen. Very disappointed! :( uninstalling.
Doesn't fit the whole screen Boxes are too small. No clue as to why it only covers the top left portion of the screen, leaving unused black space

Great Great cross word puzzle game, works well so far EXCEPT when I start typing I can no longer hit ENTER on my native keyboard to go to the next clue; upon doing so the icon on the to left turns blue and I can only remedy this by manually clicking on the board.
Super duper. This is what Shorty's crosswords used to be before their terrible update.
Decent UI. New high quality puzzles daily Effective and intuitive UI on my Nexus 5, with plenty of options a play mechanisms that could work on smaller devices. It's great that it pulls in new professional puzzles daily, but I am curious how they are paid for.
Doesn't work Can't get the NY Times crossword even though we have a subscription. And navigation is buggy, UI not intuitive.
They lie It doesn't actually give you all the crosswords it advertises. 1 LA Times crossword. Ever.
Few puzzles The description & settings make this app seem like it would be great. Reality is some puzzles are not available while one, inexplicably is the same puzzle every week.
Not as advertised Do not believe the description of products offered. Ask for technical support and waited 2 weeks I'm giving up and uninstalling.

All of the puzzles do not download. I only get three options and once they're done I have to wait until the next day.
